Mes Docteurs is a key actor of telehealth in France. They wanted to consolidate their B2B, B2C and B2B2C offerings into one complete platform.
I was brought early in this project to help the product team create various flows and services. Eventually, I also participated in the design ops processes by working on the design system and following the design handoff.
Healthcare • web • product design • UX design • design systems
Healthcare being highly regulated and a complex field, working in close relationship with product managers and experts was key to the success of our work.Integrated into the product team, I worked on multiple features for patients and health professionals. This includes search, complex forms, medical files editor, teleconsultation, drug delivery and various tools for healthcare professionals to manage their daily activities.
In this fast-paced development with tight deadlines, my challenge was to balance my inputs on design and usability with the needs of this field and a difficult technical environment.
Due to the fast-paced product development, we eventually accumulated some design debt. My role then shifted towards design ops to help structure and refactor our design system and various key modules.
My main focus was to gather the best practices of the design process to find out which ones were the most appropriate to our situation. There is no one size fit all when it comes to design, and it’s the same for design processes. With the rest of the design team, we had to take in consideration our organization structure, the technical constraints and the medium-term perspective to present various evolutions and tighten the process from conception to development. Once this was done, I wrote the documentation to leave a trace of our systems and proposals.
